Maine, Franklin, Farmington.

Moses Alvin Clark lived in the Franklin Manor Nursing Home for the last years of his life. According to Death Certificate #7510132, he died 22 Dec 1975, and was buried 24 Dec 1975 at Lakeview Cemetery in Wilton, Maine.  He was 95 years old.

WILTON – Moses A. Clark, 95, died Monday afternoon at Franklin Manor Nursing Home, Farmington, where he had been a patient for the past few years.

He was born in Perry, Oct. 12, 1880, the son of Andrew and Anna Johnston Clark. He was educated in Perry schools and left Main in 1897 to learn the blacksmith trade in Worcester, Mass.  In 1902, he married Clara May Walton of Worcester, Mass.  They moved to Wilton in 1906 where Mr. Clark operated a blacksmith shop and later raised purebred Ayrshire cattle. He retailed milk in Wilton for many years from his farm home on Walker Hill.  Mrs. Clark died in 1966. Mr. Clark was a member of the Wilton United Methodist Church and Williamson Lodge, IOOF, wilton, a past master of North Jay Grange, and Excelsior and Pomona and past president of the Maine Dairymen’s Association.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Janette Lidstone, Concord, NH, 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

CLARK – at Farmington, December 22, 1975. Moses A. Clark, age 95, of Wilton, Me. Funeral services will be held from the Wilton United Methodist Church, Wednesday at 2pm. Relatives and friends may call at the Edwards Wiles Funeral Home, Wilton, Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm. Those who desire may send memorial contributions to the Wilton Sunshine Society c/o Mrs. Ray Risser, East Dixfield, Maine 04227, in memory of Moses A. Clark.
