3 Apr 1930 CENSUS Emery Orson Lane
Maine, Kennebec, Fayette.
In 1930, Emery O. Lane, 70, owned his own farm. The family did not yet have a radio. He had married at age 37. He stated that he was not a veteran. Rose Lane, 29, wife, was listed as a housekeeper.
Also on this census: Wesley, 29, married, general farm laborer; Ronald, 19, job work laborer, not a veteran; Muriel, 14, in school; Eunice, 11, in school; Roger, 7, in school. This census also includes Laura Lane, 18. She was a recent bride of Wesley Lane.
A CHALLENGE: The family is incorrectly indexed as LOANE, so it took me much longer to locate the family on this census than on the others. I finally went through the Fayette census page by page until I found them!
