Maine, Kennebec, Fayette.

According to the 1900 Census, Emery Orson and Rose Haskell Lane were living in Fayette, Maine.  Emery O. Lane, 40, was born Dec. 1859, and had been married for two years. He could speak, read and write in English. He was a farmer, who owned his farm free and clear.  Rose M., 22, wife, was born Sep 1877, and had been married for two years. She had given birth to two children, and one child was still living. She could read, write, and speak English. Their daughter Jennie Mae, 2, had been born in March 1898 in Maine.

Of interest is the fact that this census lists a different birth year for Emery Orson Lane. I will continue to research this.
